i am 16 and i feel like, a lot of people only get more immature as they step into high school.
my friends are cool and all when we’re joking around or when we discuss about personal issures but… it just i don’t know, disappoints me when they say vile things like, "OMG she is so ugly i hate her so much. don’t you ever just hate someone cus their face is so ugly?"
honestly, i have flaws of my own and i am sure my friends ignore them and have accepted me for who i am. but when they talk about people they don’t know that well like that… it makes me feel annoyed and question how did i end up being friends with them?
usually when they say that kind of stuff, i just kind of smile or pretend i didn’t hear what they said… or sometimes i’ll sort of disagree by saying, "no i think she’s ok" if i do know the person.
other than that… i don’t really speak up and tell them to stop trash talking because they’ve been doing it forever and i know they’re not ones to change. in fact, some of them are hypocrites… lying to people and telling them that they don’t care about looks and a load of bs

We keep her, a one year old toy poodle, in the bathroom while we’re gone to work and what not since its the only place in the house with hard floors…
I’ve tried using the trash cans with the lips you push to put trash in, kind like the ones in fast food joints, and the ones you have to step on the leaver to pop the top open… She still gets into them and rips all the paper up…
I’m at my wits end with her over it… She has absolutely no behavioral problem other then that…
She is left with toys and they are normally not the same ones at the day before…
Its not even like she’s left in the bathroom for every long… Sometimes its only for an hour and we still come home to ripped up paper.
I hate to put her in a tiny little kennel but if it happens again that’s what is going to happen, and I would much rather her have some space to move around while we’re gone and play with her toys…
And taking the can out is not an option… I need a trash can in there… to many little kids running in and out not to have one…

I heard current research is going on to make corn based plastics to make water bottles. While this might be a decent step forward, we all know there is an enormous amount of plastic debris out there in trash, landfills and I heard in the oceans! Does anyone know if a way has been found to disintegrate these into lower organic compounds. Even though plastics are organic compounds I understand they are very complex compounds and so far no chemical/ other agent has been found that will degrade these.
Of late, I see a lot of people rightfully are realizing that the earth needs to be treated better. But how are humans going to get rid of the plastic debris they have thrown onto the earth so far????
Thanks for the responses so far. Yes, lot of recycling, reuse and sparing use needs to be discussed. New bio-degradable materials have to used in future. My question is has a discovery been made to degrade or disintegrate the existing plastics trash in the world. There must be a process to break these down to lower hydrocarbons!!!!! Humans need to find it sometime in the next few decades…

so far i deciede to make
GO GREEN
- cool laminated membership cards for everyone on photoshop with thier faces on them (they are allowed to be free and make funny faces)
- there is also a really cool modern tshirt deign i made
- i was also plannng on getting seeds and planting them in lik recycled things lik milk gallons or ice cream buckets afters school, and wait a couple months before we actually plant them ( should that be trees instead? do you tthink ppl would really stay after school to do that? )
- gather club members after school every 1-2 weeks to collect waste paper form teachers
- have members stay afters school to decorate 3 trashcans with a little hole at the top of the lid for bottle and can only. (i will place one in the teachers lounge, P.E., and the quad where everyone hangs out)
*but i need help on an organized way to do the trash pick
and taking it to a recycler by one of the members
- what kind of contest can i hold within the club? a prize like a green ipod would help, or those red ones that contribute to some cause idk. but what kind of contest should it be? and any otther prize?
- i also thinking of selling those beaded bracelets with "go green" on them as fundraiser for .00
- but what should we do on earth day (april 22)? other than wear our club t shirts around? should we sell the beads during that week? cus i was planning on selling the bracelets near the beginning of the year to promote our club. so what to sell during earth day week?

ANIMAL AWARENESS- i need help barely any ideaS!
- helping out at animal shelter
- bring animals, if its possible!, to school for pet adoption, to lik advertise that there are lovely pets as the ones displayed at our local animal shelther

- and if we hav enough money, i was thinking of having a club pet! like a hamster in the room! i can hold meetings on naming the hamster and let the members take shifts every weekend and take care of the hamster and during the club meetings, we can let everyone sit on the floor in a circle and let the hamster run around in it hamster ball, while i discuss about future events!
- i can alsso have after school meetings to paint poster for event too
what other fundraisers should we do/ activite?
BUT OVERALL, in your honest opinion would you join this club that had these ideas and activites? do think this club would last the entire year with this kind of things/ideas? AND DO YOU THINK ITS FUN!?

My neighbor keeps an impecable yard. She has recently however adopted the practice of tying her dog’s waste into the plastic bags you get at the supermarket and she piles them up at the foot of the tree that is in front of her house OUTSIDE her fence! Between trash pickups they accumulate and by the time regular trash day comes there can be about 12 – 15 knotted bags of poop sitting there. I asked her about them and she shrieked in my face, "WHO ELECTED YOU KING OF THE STREET!?" and walked away. What would you suggest as a next step?

I asked another question on here a few weeks ago about my step children getting sick/being sick/pretending to be sick every time they come here. Well, they are five and seven and are with us every other week. For a month straight they would get diarrhea/or puke at night time at least one day they were with us. Well 2 weeks ago when they were with us, they did not get sick at all. I showed them extra attention the last time they were here and love bc I thought maybe they were gettin stressed out that a new baby is on the way, being shuffled between two houses, or something is bothering them at school. They wont talk about their feelings even though my husband I have tried. I have kept this extra attention up again this week that they have been here too. I know that some people may take offensive to this but I think that they have psychological problems or emotional problems.
Well, last night my stepdaughter told me she felt sick, but I suspected that it was cuz she didnt want to eat the supper that my husband cooked. She said she had a headache so we gave her tylenol and said to lay down. She came back out a half hour later and we offered her something else to eat and of course she did eat it bc I knew that she was hungry and I didnt think she was really sick at all. Thats just what I think though.
Well, this morning my step son said he had a headache and didnt want to sing at the Easter sunday service, but he did want to do the easter egg hunt so I said if your well enough to do that your well enough to sing. I would do the same thing if he was my natural child too.
Well, also both of the kids always have issues with food it seems like. They took like two bites of their food at easter church breakfast and I didnt force them to eat any more cuz I’m afraid they will puke on purpose or something. I think they use this to their advantage (sure some of you will be offensive about that, but i think its true).
Well after my step son got his candy he appeared to be "well" again. Well at supper time he did eat most of his food but afterwards he whined that he had a headache like his sister did the day before. So we gave him tylenol sent him to bed with a trash can by his bed cuz last time he only said he had a headache and puked in the middle of the night too. I said that he needed to try to make it to the toilet but the trash can is there in case he cant.
I just am really puzzled and upset about the behavior because I think that they are emotionally disturbed and need counseling which my husband and I are working on getting taken care of soon. Although, my husband just thinks kids are kids, but I think this is a more serious issue and that the kids dont like being shuffled back and forth all the time or something else is bothering them but I cant imagine what.
Also, these kids have been to the doctor by me because neither one of their parents would take them bc they refuse to believe there is a problem and that kids just get sick. The doctor says nothing is wrong with them physically but she thinks that they have psychological issues and need to be seen by a counselor. I have begged my husband to agree, which he has, but I know that he is reluctant. Can any one give me any pointers on how to deal with these kids since I am the one that is around them a lot bc hubby works way more than I do? Please dont be rude. I am tryin to get them the help that they need. I also have a one year old son with my husband and it is very hard juggling my time, but I try my best. I want to have the best environment possible and stop these kids from their most likely manipulative behaviors/ pyschological illnesses that could be passed on to my natural son.
Also, I have cleaned and sanitized my house inside and out, so I know that the kids are not getting sick from a dirty household or enviroment. We live in a safe clean environment with large thanks due to me. My husband isnt the one that cleans up any of their diahrrea or puke. He makes me do that all the time…is that really fair or what? Who knows.
I have been married to their dad for almost 2 years. They have been in and out of our house many times. I do not know what they could be allergic to considering i havent changed cleaning products and vacuum and dust regulary. Doctor does not think household cleaners are an issue although they could possibly have other allergies I’m sure, but to who knows what. It’s not like they have been exposed to ne thing different. Their mother is a heavy smoker and drinker at her house…so maybe that could be some of the problem…who knows?!
I just want the problems and issues fixed. Please help and thanks
